The media is overloaded with stories about human trafficking and sexual abuse issues.
Human traffickers and sexual predators have always existed and will continue to exist as long as time continues. We will be chasing them forever, BUT,
WE CAN prevent our children from being victims!
Watch the slide show below to see what predators look for in children
and what you can do as a caregiver to arm your kids.
You will also gain an understanding the cost of ACES (trauma) on families and society,
and the solution: Raising P.E.A.R.L.S. Children.
At the end of the presentation you will be given
the opportunity to receive the activity book
Raising PEARLS: Prepared, Empowered, Armored, Loved & Secure Children at 50% off,
plus free paper dolls
to share with your kids as you spend time
talking and playing with them.

On this website I have decided turn my focus to positive methods of counteracting this global epidemic.
Here, you will find multiple resources for simple ways of making a positive difference.
One little ripple can cause a great wave.
Start with a smile, a hug, a positive word or song,
or a few minutes to play with a child in your care and
watch their self-esteem grow.
Please be sure to check out my resources and come back often as more are continually added.
The Epidemic, in a nutshell
At least 100,000 boys and girls are bought and sold for sex in the U.S. each year by ordinary people from ALL walks of life. Some of these children are runaways-often foster children, some are forcefully abducted, and some are betrayed and sold by their own family members and acquaintances. Predators usually build a trusting relationship with vulnerable children over time by showering them with affection, gifts and attention. 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday, but only 1 in 3 will tell because they don't know it is wrong or they don't know who they can trust with their secret. If you think your five-year old will automatically tell you if someone touched their privates, think again. Predators instill fear and guilt into their victims to prevent them from telling.
Raising PEARLS is not just an interactive activity book, it's a lifestyle, a pattern in the way we parent and raise up our biological and neighboring children to be healthy future leaders in society. It's an acronym for children who are:
Prepared, Empowered, Armored, Restored, Loved & Secure.
How do we accomplish this?
Starting at home. One child at a time.
One Smile at a time. One positive word at a time. One story, one activity, one minute.
Watch the ripples grow
while YOU build a trusting relationship with the precious children in YOUR care.
Build them up & strengthen them so they won't be vulnerable to predators.
